About This Project
The client hired us to cleanup the landscaping from the prior homeowner and to install an outdoor living space in conjunction with Caribbean Pool’s 16’x32 Fiberglass Pool. There were multiple phases to the project and ensuring that we thought ahead for future gas and electric runs for the phase 2 grill island and pool shower was a priority. We were able to account for all the lines. Funny enough one year after they decided to add a hot tub which was NOT originally in the master plan, LOL. We were able to still install with a little extra elbow grease. The big question early on was whether or not the client would need a 2-3′ high retaining wall around the pool. Due to their large lot size we were able to clear some surrounding woods and grade the dirt away from the pool and patio for smooth transition back to their existing lawn areas without the need for an expensive retaining wall system.
Project Challenges
Phase 1 was for a poolside patio, upper patio, transition steps, pavilion, and dry bar. The dry bar one year later was upgraded to a wet bar with ice machine and sink. The space was completed with a Unilock Rivercrest Gas Fire Pit with built in seat walls. This was the first project we had the opportunity to use Unilock Tribeca Cobble as a border.
